General Notes: Husband - John N. Thompson

He was a child when brought to the United States by his parents. He was a ship's carpenter by occupation, and was thus employed until after the Civil War, and was then engaged in general contracting until his death. He was a member of the Methodist Episcopal church, and of the Republican party, and served once as judge of elections.
