General Notes: Husband - William Patton

---

He was the son of a curate in Ireland. He eloped with a lady of good birth, and having decided to make his home in America came to this country alone, leaving his wife and child in Ireland. He bought a farm near New Castle, Delaware, and prepared a home for his family, and wrote them a letter stating that he would start for Ireland the next morning, to fetch them. It was the last news of him they ever had, and his wife and child were cared for by his brother, Rev. Mr. Patton.
