He married and lived in Donegal Township, Chester County, Pennsyvania, in 1725. This locality afterwards became Dauphin County. He went to Mount Joy in 1716. Mount Joy was in Londonderry Township in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. According to Egle, "Some of his descendants went to Tennessee and some settled on the west side of the Susquehanna River."
