General Notes: Husband - Lyman Lincoln Graham

He acquired his education at the Smith business College in Meadville, PA. In 1888 he came to Oil City in the interest of William Fleming, an active oil producer, with whom he continued for seven months, in 1889 becoming land agent for the South Penn Oil Company in Oil City, and acting as such until 1908. His time thereafter was devoted principally to gas interests. He first became associated with the United Natural Gas Company as land agent in 1898, and about ten years later was elected secretary, later being elected vice President as well. He served a term on the school board as representative from the Seventh ward, and was an earnest supporter of Trinity M. E. Church. He held membership in the National Security League and the Red Cross. In political opinion he was a Republican. Upon reaching his majority Mr. Graham joined Crawford Lodge, I. O. O. F., at Meadville, and served as secretary of that body; in Oil City he belonged to Tent No. 21, K. O. T. M., the Protected Home Circle, and Oil City Lodge, No. 344, B. P. O. Elks. [CAB, 589]
