General Notes: Husband - James Pollock

He was born near Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, and came with his parents to Washington County. At an early day he evinced the unusual mechanical ability which was characteristic of the entire family. He made all sorts of articles from wood or iron, and finally learned the cabinet maker's trade, which he carried on, and in later life he followed farming.
He was a Whig, and a member of the Mingo Presbyterian Church.
