General Notes: Husband - Samuel Seldon Taylor

When a young man he traveled some in the western states, always ready to engage in industrial occupations when an opportunity was offered. When in the west he taught a term of school. When farming he kept a large flock of sheep near the home of his father, who owned many sheep. His services were in demand as a sheep shearer, and after the home flock had been shorn he would go out and assist the neighbors in the work. He was an expert in this line of work and was kept busy for many weeks. The last few years of his life he was unable to get about owing to the infirmities of age.
