General Notes: Husband - George W. Spaulding


Civil War: he enlisted in the army, 1862, in the One Hundred and Forty-fifth Pennsylvania Volunteer Infantry, serving in Gen. Hancock's Corps in the Army of the Potomac, and participated in the battles of Antietam, Fredericksburg, Chancellorsville, Gettysburg, Wilderness, siege of Petersburg, and finally in the capture of Lee's army; he was honorably discharged, May, 1865.

He was a farmer and the owner of 130 acres of well-improved land. He was an Anti-Monopolist in politics.
