General Notes: Husband - John Boice Ostrander


He was born at Olive, Ulster County, New York. He grew to manhood there and later located in Canada, where he was engaged in lumbering. Later he returned to the United States, and in 1870 settled in Tompkins County, New York, where he engaged in farming until his death. He was a Democrat in politics, and a member of the Presbyterian church.
