General Notes: Husband - George Barnes

---

He came to America when about six years old.
He was a miller in the early times, and operated a mill on Mill Creek, in the eastern part of the township of Findley, Mercer County, PA.

A native of County Armagh, Ireland, came to America when a small boy with his parents, who settled in Wolf Creek Township, Mercer County, PA, making that their permanent residence. After his marriage Mr. Barnes located on a tract of timbered land in Findley Township and in the house which he built of hewed logs all of his children were born. He improved the water power on the place, erecting a grist and saw mill, and was successfully employed as a farmer and miller until his death.
