General Notes: Husband - Elijah Barnes


He was a farmer for many years. During the Civil War he was a member of Company F, Forty-sixth Regiment Pennsylvania Volunteer Infantry, and served through the entire contest. He had an arm taken off at the battle of Gettysburg, and was taken prisoner on another occasion.
He affiliated with the Republican party, and he and his family were members of the Methodist Episcopal Church.
