General Notes: Husband - Edward James Yoho

He was born on The Goshen place, near Slippery Rock Creek, Lawrence County, Pennsylvania. He obtained his education in the district schools and in the village of Chewton. Before settling down to farming, he worked at the Wampum furnace and in other places. He later had charge of the James and Mary Mehard farm, and had 115 acres under lease. He grew grain, corn, oats and potatoes, and raised stock. He had comfortable surroundings, and prospered as a farmer. About 1897 he lost his residence by fire, a new one being erected shortly afterward.
He, his wife and sons belong to the Slippery Rock Presbyterian Church. In politics, he was a Democrat. For two years he served as road supervisor, and for six years was school director.
