MAN FOUND DEAD IN CORNFIELD WILL BE BURIED ON SATURDAY
Funeral services of Eri S. Noel will be held from the late home in Randolph township at 10 o'clock Saturday morning, the Rev. M. M. Clark of Townville, officiating.
Mr. Noel, who is a well known resident of Randolph township, was found dead in the cornfield back of his barn about 7 o'clock Thursday morning, death having evidently been caused by heart failure late the previous afternoon. He was just returning to his home after working all day at his son's farm helping with the threshing. His pitchfork lay beside him and he had fallen on his face in the dirt.
When her husband did not return at night, Mrs. Noel believed that he had stayed over night at the son's home. Thursday morning when Mrs. Noel inquired at her son's, she was told that he had gone home the evening before. Investigation found his dead body in the cornfield back of the barn.
Mr. Noel was 71 years of age, having been born in Venango county, removing several years ago to the home in Randolph township. Besides the wife, he is survived by two sons, M. S. Noel of Rouseville, and Louis Noel, of Guys Mills.
