General Notes: Husband - William Noble

---

He was born in County Tyrone, Ireland, and when eight years of age came with his parents to the United States, and to Buffalo township, Washington County, Pennsylvania, where, during the rest of his life, he successfully followed farming, also working at his trade, that of a weaver.
He and his wife were devout members and liberal supporters of the Presbyterian Church at Upper Buffalo, and he was a warm friend of education. A member of the Democratic party, he was an active worker and fearless partisan.

He married in Winchester, Virginia, and came to East Finley township, Washington County, Pennsylvania, to make his home. They had eleven children, five dying in infancy, and six reaching maturity.
