General Notes: Husband - Thomas M. Nickle

His early life was spent on the farm where he was born, and he attended the public schools of the vicinity, living on the homestead until his marriage, when he moved to his own farm, about one mile from the place of his birth. His land was two hundred acres in extent, and in addition to conducting farming operations general in character, he maintained a large flock of sheep and considerable cattle. He was a Democrat in politics, steadfastly refusing political preference of any kind. In his business life, agriculture and stock raising, he was successful with unusual consistency, escaping the hardest blows that occasionally fall upon an agricultural community, and realized a moderate competence.
They were United Presbyterians and members of Tomlinson's Run Church.
