General Notes: Husband - Jacob Edmund Robertson

He was raised on the homestead farm of his grandfather, which he and his brother James William later owned. They attended the common schools of their native township, received a good education and then engaged in farming and stock-raising. Their farm was in the western part of the township, contained one hundred and fifty acres of land and was very productive. He was a republican in politics and a ruling elder of the Sewickley Presbyterian church, of which his wife was a member. He was a member of Mendon Grange, No. 855, Patrons of Husbandry and always took an active part in whatever was calculated for the promotion of agricultural interests.
