General Notes: Husband - Hiram Warne

After marriage he and his wife located on a farm in Somerset township, Washington County, Pennsylvania, thence moved to Nottingham township, and finally came to Franklin township. They and their daughters were all members of the Third Presbyterian Church of Washington, in which he was an elder, and he assisted in the building of the Second and Third Presbyterian Churches. In his political connections he was a Democrat until 1860, when he united with the Republican party.

He followed farming and sheep raising in Nottingham Township until 1871, when he bought eighty-four acres of land adjacent to Washington and resided on that property until his death.
