General Notes: Husband - John Wilson


He settled on Herod's Run in what became Jackson township, Huntingdon County, Pennsylvania, in 1776. It was later known as the Jackson homestead.

In the Revolutionary War he served in Capt. McAlevy's company, his family being meanwhile at Reedsville, where the settlers of the upper part of Standing Stone Valley found protection from Indian attacks.
