General Notes: Husband - Thomas Nelson

He enlisted in the Union army during the war of the rebellion, as a member of the 10th Pennsylvania Regiment, commonly known as the “Round Heads.” After serving for three years he reenlisted and was eventually taken prisoner and confined in Andersonville prison. He was survived by a wife and five daughters.

His family believed that he died of starvation in Andersonville Prison during the Civil War.
