General Notes: Husband - John Reed

He was a soldier in the Revolutionary war for eighteen months, serving three terms of six months each, for his father, brother, and himself. He was at the battles of Stony Point and Brandwine, where he was wounded in the leg. The only relief he received for his injury was by tearing off a piece of his linen shirt and drawing it through the hole in his leg.
