General Notes: Husband - Nicholas Naley


There are various spellings of this surname, including, but not limited to: Naley, Naly, Neighly, Nelig, Nalieg, and also, possibly, Neely.

His father was a native of Germany, whence he had emigrated to the United States. Nicholas came from Northampton County, Pennsylvania, and settled in the Manor valley, Westmoreland County.

He settled at a very early day in Penn township, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania, being one of the pioneers of that section of the county, where he reclaimed and improved a large farm.
