General Notes: Husband - Earl H. Myers

He was reared and educated in Franklin, PA, having all the privileges afforded by the excellent public schools. He learned his father's trade, and worked at it for a year after his father's death, spending the three years following in the employ of the Adams Express Company, and a year with the General Manifold & Printing Company of Franklin, operating a carbon machine. He was also with the Air Compressor Company for a year and a half, thereafter was working on his own account, having acquired a farm at Niles in 1902 and settling there the same year. It was a tract of 120 acres, lying four miles west of Franklin, part of the old Runninger homestead, and in its development Mr. Myers had dairying as his chief objective, his fine barn and cement silo having been erected especially to facilitate that branch of the work. He made excellent progress with the improvement of the property, to which he gave practically all his time and attention, occasional hunting trips being his chief recreation. [CAB, 1083]
