General Notes: Husband - John Muse

He was reared in Versailles township, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania, from five years of age, and educated in the common schools. He was a farmer all his life, and owned and occupied the old homestead of his father, known as the Galilee farm, which was patented in 1783 by a man named Rayburn, and who erected a blockhouse thereon for protection from the Indians. It became one of the best farms in the township, comprising 156 acres. Mr. Muse was a director of the People's Bank of McKeesport; politically he was a stanch republican.
