General Notes: Husband - William R. Motz


He received his elementary education in the local schools, and then after studying for some time at New Berlin and Williamsport, Pennsylvania, entered State College in 1889. He left that institution during the Sophomore year, and took a course at the Eastman Business College, at Poughkeepsie, New York. He resided at Woodward, Pennsylvania, and conducted the business of his father's estate, which had not been divided. He was a leader in the social life of the Valley.
He was a Republican in political preference, while in matters of religion he was identified with the Evangelical Association.
