General Notes: Husband - Dr. Beriah Edwin Mossman, Jr.

His early education was acquired in the public schools and under the direction of a private tutor, and he was fitted for college at Phillips Academy, Andover, Massachusetts, from which he entered Yale University with the class of 1898. He studied medicine at the University of Pennsylvania, graduating in 1900, and after serving for thirteen months as resident physician at the Allegheny (Pennsylvania) General Hospital, he accepted the position of physician to the State Institution for the Feeble Minded of Western Pennsylvania. In 1905, he removed to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and was appointed assistant surgeon on the staff of the Allegheny General Hospital. In 1907, he located in Greenville and was in company with his father, Dr. Mossman, Sr. Dr. Mossman was a member of the Theta Nu Epsilon fraternity, Bessemer Club, of Greenville, and the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks. He was been an active member of the Venango and Allegheny County Medical Societies and was a member of the Mercer County Medical Society and the Pennsylvania State Society.
