He was born Aug. 14, 1849. [HBC 1888, 875]

He was born on the old Morrow homestead, in Hopewell township, Beaver County, Pennsylvania, and was educated in his native county. He worked for his father until six months after he reached his majority, then began for himself.
He was a farmer all his life. He removed to Independence township, Beaver County, Pennsylvania, where he had one of the finest and best equipped farms in that section of the country, it being provided with all the most improved forms of machinery.
He and his wife were members of the United Presbyterian church of New Bethlehem, and taught in the Sabbath-school for some years. Politically he was a Democrat, held the office of school director.
