General Notes: Husband - Springer A. Morris

He was reared partly in his native township, and later removed to Uniontown, Pennsylvania, attending school at both places. At the age of nineteen years he commenced to learn the trade of a carpenter with Charles D. Turner, of Uniontown. He completed his apprenticeship and worked at his trade till 1864. In 1864 he engaged in farming in North Union township, and came to own a nice farm of sixty acres on Redstone creek, where he resided.
In 1887 he was elected county commissioner on the republican ticket, and was president of the board.
