General Notes: Husband - Luther Martin Morgan

He passed his boyhood on the home farm, and received his education in the district schools of Mt. Pleasant township, Washington County, Pennsylvania.
He married and they settled on the old family homestead, containing 210 acres of good land. He was an active Democrat, and a member of the school board. He and his wife were united with the Mt. Pleasant U. P. Church, of which he was a trustee.

His father built a substantial brick house on the property in 1853, making the brick for the same on his own land. In 1903, however, Mr. Morgan tore down the old house and in its place erected a modern frame residence in which many comforts and conveniences were installed, and also built a new barn and out buildings made necessary by his increased farm industries. He is a successful grower of sheep and kept about 150 over winter. Mr. Morgan was a director in the Houston Bank and a stockholder in the First National Banks of Washington and Canonsburg.
