General Notes: Husband - Stewart Marks Campbell


He was brought to America by his parents when he was only four years old, and taken to Clearfield, Clearfield County, Pennsylvania, where he was educated and was living at the time of his marriage. With his family he removed to Iowa, landing at Le Claire, Scott County, June 6, 1843. He settled on a farm in Le Claire township, building a sod house, in which he lived for a few years, until he was able to burn brick and build a more substantial dwelling. He was an officer in the civil war.
