General Notes: Husband - William E. Moore


He served in the Civil War: enlisted in 1861 in Company E, Eleventh Pennsylvania Volunteers, and having his right arm shot off at Chickahominy, he was discharged and came home and assisted in raising a company, of which he was made First Lieutenant, and assisted in capturing Morgan. After being again discharged, he studied law with Judge McJunkin, of Butler, Pennsylvania, and in the second year, while so engaged, was elected County Treasurer. He died while in office.
