General Notes: Husband - William Hare Wallace

He remained on his father's farm until he was twenty-one years of age. He then engaged in mercantile pursuits in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. In 1857 he removed to Wheatland, Indiana, where he engaged in merchandizing and lumber until 1865, when he removed to Warren County, Pennsylvania, and took up the lumber business again. His wife died there, and he removed to Kansas City, where, with his son, he engaged in the mercantile and real-estate business. He was an elder in the Presbyterian Church.
