General Notes: Husband - William R. Thompson

He was brought up on the family homestead, where he lived for fifty-two years, and was educated in the local schools, attending what was known as the Barmara district school. His life work was farming and he came to own the old homestead of 120 acres, thirty-five acres adjoining, and the farm of ninety-five acres on which he himself resided beginning in 1906. This latter property was very valuable, and after taking possession of it he made some very substantial improvements, including a handsome two-story residence which he built in 1906, and a bank barn which he put up in 1907.
