General Notes: Husband - Moses F. Thompson

He was born on the old homestead, where he was reared and educated at the common schools. He was brought up on a farm, and remained at home until twenty-four years of age, when he engaged in the lumber business, which business he conducted at various places until 1884, when he located at Sheakleyville and engaged in the hotel business. At the time of Lee's raid into Pennsylvania, he enlisted in Company H, Fifty-fifth Pennsylvania Militia, and served ninety days. He was constable for his township, and a member of the borough council, and politically was a Republican. [HMC 1888, 1103]
