General Notes: Husband - Nathaniel Mitchell


He came to Washington County, Pennsylvania, in 1795, and on the 6th of May in that year purchased two hundred and one acres of William Johnson [sic, Johnston], and on the 4th of June the same year bought one hundred acres of land of William and James Bailey, a part of a tract named "Labrador," on the head-waters of Brush Run, which had been granted to Henry Martin on a Virginia certificate. From 1799 to 1828 he purchased several other tracts, amounting to nearly four hundred acres, in the vicinity.
