General Notes: Husband - John Reed

---

He was born in Ireland, and was about twelve years of age when his parents emigrated to America. In early life he became a farmer, and later engaged in general mercantile business in North Washington, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania, where for thirty years he served as justice of the peace. He also held the office of postmaster at that place for many years.
