General Notes: Husband - Frederick Miller


He was born in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, and came to Chambersburg as a young man, and engaged in business as a tinner and coppersmith in 1806, in which he continued his retirement in 1850. His shop and dwelling were on the west side of Main street, opposite the "Indian Queen Hotel." He was one of the leading citizens of the town during his life. He was a member of the Chambersburg town council in 1819, and again in 1828, and 1844-46. He was also at one time commissioner of Franklin County and was also a director of the National Bank of Chambersburg.
