He graduated at Allegheny college, and spent four years in India, where had charge of the Seamen's Home in Calcutta and performed other missionary work under the auspices of a Board of Missions. He was later the popular and able pastor of Trinity M. E. church, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
