He was a physician, and studied for his profession with Dr. George Cook at New Lisbon, Columbiana County, Ohio.
He and his wife were devoted members of the Disciple or Christian Church, with which they united in 1838 at Youngstown, Ohio, being baptized at that time and place.
He died in the seventy-first year of his age.
