General Notes: Husband - Simeon Raymond


He was of old Colonial stock long settled in Connecticut and held a commission under the Crown as captain until the breaking out of the Revolution, when, his sympathies being with the "rebels," he resigned his command. His union with the Colonists so incensed the Tories that they burned all his property. He and his wife Hannah had ten children. [CAB, 673]
