General Notes: Husband - George Trimble

He was a native of the north of Ireland, and at the age of nineteen, migrated to the Conococheague valley, Pennsylvania. About the time of the second removal of the Moorheads to their former settlement, we find him located near the site of the old brickyard, or the Reider distillery, near Indiana. From this place he was driven away by the Indians, and was forced to reside either in the Moorhead block-house, or to migrate to his former home in the above-named valley. In the latter place he remained about seven years. At what time he returned is not known, but in 1796, he removed to a farm, later occupied by William Ray.

The George Trimble (later William Ray) homestead was warranted to James Ramsey in 1784. It was patented to the latter in 1795, and was called "St. James," situated in Armstrong township, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania. It was deeded in 1797 to George Trimble.
