Arthur A. Ziegler, 72, a resident of Venango County for many years, died this morning at the home of his son, Burn Ziegler at Harborcreek, Erie Co. Mr. Ziegler had been in ill health several years.
He was born in Maple Shade, Venango Co., on June 10, 1880, a son of the late Fisher and Amanda Ziegler. He resided in that area until a few years ago when he went to make his home at the home of his son in Harborcreek. His wife, the former Ethel Mealy of Tylersburg, Forest Co., died about two years ago.
Mr. Ziegler was formerly employed by the Pennsylvania railroad as a car inspector. Thirty years ago he was injured in an accident at the railroad yards and his right arm was amputated as a result of the mishap.
Surviving are four sons: Burn of Harborcreek, Donald of Erie, Roy and Wendell of Oregon. The following brothers and sisters also survive: Myron of Van; Mrs. Emma Brown of Oil City; George of Cranberry; Taylor of New Kensington; Mrs. Lulu Linn of Franklin and Mrs. Edna Borland of Homeworth, Ohio.
The body is being removed to the Osenider Funeral Home on Thursday. Rev. C. T. Miller, pastor of the Calvary Evangelical UB church will officiate and burial will be in Maple Shade Cemetery between Van and Salina.

Funeral services for Mrs. Ethel Ziegler, 70, wife of Arthur Ziegler former city residents, who died at 2 p.m. Friday in the home of her son, Bernard in Erie. Osenider Memorial Chapel is in charge.
Rev. Norman Constable, pastor of the Calvary Evangelical UB Church will officiate and burial will be made in Mount Zion Cemetery.
She was born 20 July 1880 in Tylersburg, Clarion Co. and had resided in Oil City until a year and a half ago. She was a member of the Calvary EUB Church.
Surviving are her husband, four sons; Bernard and Wendell of Erie and Ray and Donald of Portland, Oregon. Four grandchildren, a sister, Mrs. Lena May Walter of Chicago, Ill.; two brothers, Charles Forshey of Akron, Ohio and Walter Forshey of Cincinnati, Ohio.
