General Notes: Husband - George Balph

---

He and his wife resided in Butler County, Pennsylvania, until 1836, when they moved to Sharpsburg, and then to Allegheny in 1843.

For many years he was a contractor and builder, and erected a large number of the best buildings in Pittsburgh and Alle­gheny. He died at the age of seventy-one years.
