General Notes: Husband - Cephas Clark Post

In 1866, Mr. Post was married and in the autumn of 1870, he moved to Pottawatomie County, Kansas, taking up land on which he resided for thirteen years. From there he moved to near Warrensburg, Missouri, sixty-five miles southeast of Kansas City, and remained there for ten years, after which he returned to Washington County, Pennsylvania, and settled in West Finley Township, on the old McNay farm. From there, in the spring of 1907, he removed to Claysville, staying there until the spring of 1909, when he came to a farm in Blaine Township. This farm proved fine land for farming and stock raising and there was also the probability of profitable oil production. In politics, Mr. Post was a Democrat and while living in Johnson County, Missouri, he served a number of years as school director of Warrensburg Township.
