He and his wife lived on a farm near Noblestown, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania, fourteen years after their marriage, then came to the home place in [Peters township?] Washington County.
He was an active member of the Democratic party, and held various township offices. He was connected with the United Presbyterian Church, and gave to that Society a most liberal support.
