General Notes: Husband - Francis Dale "Frank" Bissell

Perry Twp, Mercer Co, PA
He attended district school and worked on the home farm until he was seventeen
years of age, when he commenced to devote his entire attention to his duties as
his father’s main assistant. His brothers drifted into other fields of work, but he
remained on the home farm, devoting his strength and abilities to its improvement
and remaining the mainstay of his parents until they were laid to their final rest.
Previous to his father’s death in 1892 the family estate had been divided, and Francis
D. received the old homestead, still residing in the house which he erected in
1879.

General Notes: Wife - Phoebe Jane Ball

Prior to her marriage she was for many years a successful school teacher.
