General Notes: Husband - David Reed


He received a liberal and thorough education in the schools and college of his native town; studied law and in 1846 was admitted to practice. He located in Pittsburgh where he soon became one of the most trusted and leading attorneys at the bar, where he practiced for over thirty years. In 1874 he was appointed United States District Attorney for the Western District of Pennsylvania. He was a councilman from the seventh ward, Pittsburgh.
