General Notes: Husband - Samuel McKinney

He attended the public schools at Braddock, Pennsylvania, until old enough to assume the duties expected of him on the home farm. In 1884 he moved to Lawrence County and followed farming there until he retired to Zelienople, in December, 1903. He then no longer engaged in the active work on the farm, but in superintending its operation his time was pleasantly and profitably occupied.

His farm of 200 acres, was situated in Perry Township, Lawrence County.

He and his family were members of the United Presbyterian Church. In his political views he was a Democrat.
