General Notes: Husband - Joseph McKinney


He was educated in the public schools of Pine township, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania, and until he was twenty-five years of age he assisted his father in the cultivation of the farm lands in their possession. For some years he then teamed in Pithole, Venango County, and settled in McCandless township in 1865, purchasing eighty-three acres of land there. He was road supervisor for a considerable period of time, and his religious affiliation was with the Presbyterian Church.
