General Notes: Husband - George McKinley

He was educated in the public schools near the family homestead, and his life was the usual one of a farmer's son in those days. He very naturally took up farming as his life work. The house which was erected by his father was still in excellent condition, owing to the care bestowed upon it by Mr. McKinley, and the farm was a very productive one, owing to the same cause. For many years he made a specialty of dairy farming, and was very successful in this enterprise. He was a Democrat in politics, and he and his wife attended services at the Round Hill Presbyterian Church. His fraternal association was with Elizabeth Conclave, No. 198, Improved Order of Heptasophs. Of a social disposition, and always ready to make friends, he was noted for his open-handed hospitality.
