General Notes: Husband - Daniel Wray

He emigrated with his family from County Antrim, Ireland, to America, in the latter part of the eighteenth century. Some time previous to 1794 he settled Mercersburg, Franklin County, Pennsylvania. From Franklin County the family removed to Mount Pleasant, Westmoreland County, and several years later to Indiana County, where he purchased a farm adjoining the present location of the town of Saltsburg.
On March 8, 1775, he took out a patent for 137 acres of land on part of which the borough of Saltsburg now stands. The land was at that time in the woods, and wolves frequently drove his sheep to the cabin door.
He was a Whig in politics, and a Presbyterian in religious belief.

He came from county Derry, Ireland, to America, and lived a while at New Wilmington, Delaware, thence to Franklin County, Pennsylvania, thence to Sewickley, Westmoreland County, thence to Indiana County about 1797, and settled one-half mile from the present town of Saltsburg.
