General Notes: Husband - James J. Titley


He was but ten years of age when his father died. He remained with his mother until his twentieth year, when he purchased a farm and engaged in agriculture. Three years later he sold the farm and became a member of the firm of Titley Brothers, oil operators and producers, operating the famous Titley farm, in Armstrong County. In 1888 he located at Millerstown, after which time he continued as an operator in that field. He also devoted considerable attention to raising fine horses, and was the owner of Vespasian, with a record of 2:24¼.
Politic­ally, Mr. Titley was a Republican, and was also connected with Millerstown Lodge, Number 457, K. of P.
